Cundall is holding an online panel discussion on Monday, September 11 to mark World Green Building Week 2023.
The discussion, titled Reimagining a Climate Resilient Built Environment, is Cundall’s response to the urgent calls in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 6th Synthesis report released in April 2023, and will focus on how to improve the resilience of urban communities.
Because mitigation of emissions is not the only critical item on the sustainability agenda, as climate impacts visibly escalate, Australia and the rest of the world need to urgently understand the challenges and opportunities for adaptation, says Cundall.
The panel discussion will explore what populations can and must do to address these issues, and will feature speakers with a breadth of expertise from strategy, planning and policy, through to design, retrofits, and natural disaster response.
Moderator Hannah Morton from Cundall will lead the discussion, with speakers including Madlen Jannaschk (ESG Lead, APAC, Cundall); Julian Sutherland, Partner, Building Services & Sydney Design Director, Cundall; Jamie Nelson, Head of Development (Office) GPT Group; Professor Cheryl Desha, Griffith University School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment; and Phill Raso, Sustainability Lead, City of Perth.
The online discussion will be held on Monday September 11, 12.30pm-1.30pm (AEST).
