IOR opens nominations for J&E Hall Gold Medal

The J&E Hall Gold Medal award recognises the most noteworthy practical contributions to the field of innovation in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump technology (RACHP).

It is sponsored by refrigeration business J&E Hall International, and includes a prize of £5,000 (approximately AU$9,400). The winner is announced at the IOR Annual Dinner, which will next be held on February 25, 2027, at the Hilton London Bankside in the UK.

Nominations are open until October 23, 2026 for individuals or teams responsible for recent practical technology advancement in one or more of the following areas:

• Outstanding and significant work in a new or unusual area of design and installation
• Practical applications of innovative designs
• Refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump (RACHP) installations, developments, technologies that have made an original contribution to the field
• Systems that demonstrate substantial potential and evidence that they will be completed successfully.
