Danfoss achieves platinum ESG performance
Sustainability rating provider EcoVadis has awarded Danfoss the Platinum Medal in the 2026 EcoVadis sustainability assessment.

EcoVadis is a global provider of business sustainability ratings, evaluating and monitoring the sustainability performance of companies worldwide.
Danfoss scored 88 out of 100 in its assessment – putting the company in the top one percent of more than 130,000 companies rated by Ecovadis. The outcome also reflects dedication to improvement, with its rating moving from Gold in 2025 to Platinum this year. Progress and performance scored more highly in 2026 across the areas of environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

Danfoss says its sustainable solutions are “engineered to do more with less, thereby saving energy and costs, and reducing emissions”.
Chief Sustainability Officer & Head of Danfoss Finance Functions, Thomas Auerbach, says the recognition reflects the progress Danfoss has made.
Since its 2019 base year, Danfoss has reduced its scope 1 and 2 emissions by 54%; and has increased the share of renewable electricity used to 75%. In 2025 the company achieved its 2030 Science Based Targets initiative-approved target five years ahead of plan.
Danfoss also published its updated Climate Transition Plan in 2026, outlining how it is advancing targets to decarbonise the company by 2030 and achieve net-zero across the value chain by 2050.
“Achieving this recognition together with strong financial results in the first half of 2026 demonstrates that sustainability, competitiveness, and resilience go hand in hand,” says Auerbach.
“It also provides our customers with assurance that Danfoss is a responsible and reliable partner, helping them advance their own sustainability objectives.
“Looking ahead, we will continue to drive improvements across our sustainability agenda.”
