The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) is poised to hold its annual gathering and information-sharing event, Green Building Day.

“Green Building Day is an annual event that celebrates all things Green Star and explores our strategy areas through real-life Green Star case study examples,” the GBCA explains.

“Our in-person events will be held in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. The Sydney event will also be live- streamed nationally if you are unable to attend any of the local events in person.”

The Brisbane event will be held May 26, the Melbourne version is slated for May 31, Sydney will take place June 16, and the series will close in Perth on June 22.

The GBCA says Green Building Day represents an opportunity to hear from sustainability innovators, learn from Green Star projects, share knowledge, and connect.

“We will share the latest about the evolution of our Green Star rating tools,” the GBCA says, “and examine key challenges such as electrification and sustainable products and procurement.”

Green Building Day events are curated for each state, with appropriate speakers and case studies chosen.

Highlights include inventor, author and green entrepreneur Saul Griffith at the Sydney and virtual events, Co-ordinator of Energy Policy WA Jai Thomas speaking in Perth, and planning administrator Graeme Garrett speaking at the Brisbane event.

Attending Green Building Day is worth 6 Green Star CPD points for certified Green Star professionals.
