Webinar: Making the invisible visible

The “Making the invisible visible” campaign invites organisations across the world to monitor indoor air quality (IAQ) in real time and publicly display the data.

According to the Safer Air Project, humans spend about 90% of their lives indoors, yet the shared air in workplaces, schools, healthcare settings, and other public buildings is rarely monitored or understood.

Low public awareness of IAQ means some people may not even realise that the air they are breathing could be putting their health and wellbeing at risk.

“By recognising IAQ as a critical factor in accessibility and taking action to improve it, we can remove these barriers and create healthier, more inclusive environments for all,” the organisation says.

The webinar will feature representatives from organisations who have previously participated in the campaign; and they will discuss what they have learned from the campaign, and the value of making indoor air quality visible to staff, visitors and the wider community.

Speakers will include:

• Facilitator: Plum Stone – Chief Executive Officer, The Safer Air Project
• Jack Noonan – Head of Asia Pacific, International WELL Building Institute (IWBI)
• Sotirios Papathanasiou – Founder, GO AQS
• Dr Hayley Teasdale – Head Science Advice and Policy, Australian Academy of Science.
