Vertiv expands into Asia-Pacific
Critical infrastructure solutions provider Vertiv has opened a new manufacturing facility in Johor, Malaysia.

Vertiv says the new facility will expand the company’s manufacturing footprint to support growing demand for AI and high-density computing infrastructure across Asia, including Southeast Asia, North Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
The new site is approximately 21,900 square metres and the company says the location benefits from strong regional connectivity and proximity to key technology and customer hubs across the region.
It supports end-to-end manufacturing, assembly, and witness testing for advanced thermal and power infrastructure.
CEO of Vertiv, Giordano Albertazzi, says Asia continues to be one of the fastest-growing regions for AI and digital infrastructure investment.
“As (computing) requirements evolve across multiple generations of AI infrastructure, customers need partners to provide power, cooling, and infrastructure solutions at scale,” he says.
“The Johor facility enhances our ability to help customers deploy critical digital infrastructure more efficiently while supporting long-term growth across Asia.”
The news comes on top of other recent acquisitions as Vertiv aims to position itself as a global leader in critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions.
In early June, the company acquired ThermoKey, a provider of heat rejection and heat-exchange technologies. This will enable the company to expand its thermal management portfolio and manufacturing capabilities, particularly in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. It will also strengthen its ability to deliver system-level solutions across the full thermal chain for AI factories and high-density data centers.
In April Vertiv also announced it had acquired Strategic Thermal Labs (STL). A specialist in advanced liquid-cooling technologies, STL will enable Vertiv to extend its thermal-chain strategy by strengthening engineering capability at the interface between server-side liquid cooling and supporting infrastructure.
These are just a few of the recent acquisitions for Vertiv – they have also initiated multiple collaborations and partnerships to expand their horizons.
“Our investments in technology and capacity, combined with strategic acquisitions, are translating into market share gains as customers demand faster deployment, greater reliability, and comprehensive services,” Albertazzi said in a media release.
“As infrastructure density increases and deployment timelines compress, we’re positioned to be the partner customers need to bring their most ambitious projects to life, at scale.”
