Passive House Scholarships 2026

Passive House (or passivhaus) is an approach to sustainable building design that prioritises occupant comfort, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

Building envelope experts Pro Clima say the five principles of Passive House are relevant around the world: excellent insulation, airtightness, heat recovery ventilation, high-performance doors and windows, and minimising thermal bridges.

The company is providing three scholarships to help Australian building professionals including both designers and tradespeople develop their knowledge and skills in Passive House and high-performance building.

The scholarships are designed to suit professionals at different stages of their Passive House journey.

• The Passivhaus Fundamentals Scholarship covers the cost of the Passivhaus Fundamentals course for building professionals who are new to Passive House and want to build a strong foundation in high-performance building
• The Certified Passive House Designer Scholarship covers the cost of the Certified Designer/Consultant course for those who want to learn how to plan and design Passive House buildings
• The Certified Passive House Tradesperson Scholarship covers the cost of the Tradesperson course for those who deliver Passive House projects on site, teaching the practical construction skills needed to meet the standard.

Successful recipients can choose their preferred Australian Passive House education provider, and Pro Clima will provide a full subsidy for the course (and the externally assessed exam where applicable, once enrolment is confirmed).
