Mikaila Ganado named INWIC President
GWA Consultants Director and AIRAH Board President gains international role.

Associate Director of the Women of AIRAH STG and President of the AIRAH Board, Mikaila Ganado, F.AIRAH, has been named as President of the International Network of Women in Cooling (INWIC).
A mechanical engineer by background with deep expertise in energy efficiency improvements, Ganado is a Director of GWA Consultants Australia. She is known for her commitment to technical excellence, professional development, diversity, and increasing the representation of women across the HVAC&R industry.
She succeeds outgoing President Ina Colombo, who contributed to expanding INWIC’s global reach and visibility, particularly throughout Africa. Colombo has also been Deputy Director General of the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR), and Secretary of the IIR Working Group on Careers in Refrigeration (CaRe).
As President, Ganado will support INWIC’s mission to promote gender diversity and strengthen opportunities for women across the cooling industry through networking, mentorship, outreach, and professional development initiatives.
INWIC engages with organisations and practitioners in the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump (RACHP) sectors in Asia-Pacific, Africa, Europe and North and South America. The network partners with local groups that provide training, mentoring and peer support, empowering women to grow professionally. AIRAH and ASHRAE are both founding partner organisations.
