Geelong Sustainability is hosting multiple sustainable events across Geelong and the surrounding areas in October.
The organisation says the events offer the opportunity to “learn and be inspired to implement sustainable living practises into your own home”.
The events include:
- Building Resilience: Sustainable Homes and Gardens – Saturday, October 12
In this seminar, experts will share practical ways to create sustainable homes and properties. Speakers include: Tom Keel from Deakin University; Associate Professor Ameeta Jain (the co-developer of the MOTIIVES resource); David Arnold, a tree crop farmer, designer and teacher; and Georgina De Beaujeu from Geelong Gardens for Wildlife.
- Industry Breakfast on Sustainable Building and Design – Thursday, October 17
This event will bring together professionals and those wanting to upskill or learn about sustainable building and design.
- My Efficient Home – webinar with Tim Forcey – Tuesday, October 22
Tim Forcey, an expert in efficient electric homes and author of My Efficient Electric Home Handbook, will share valuable insights on how to improve energy efficiency in your home using various solutions.
- Open House Day – Saturday, October 26
Explore a variety of sustainable homes in Geelong and the surrounding areas throughout the day. It’s an opportunity to view some of the most sustainable homes in the community.
