Tools of the Trade grant
Business insurance service BizCover has launched a year-long grant initiative designed to support trade students across Australia with the cost of essential equipment.

The Tools of the Trade grant awards one $1,000 gift card per month to apprentices and trainees, to help them get the equipment they need to start their careers. It aims to ease financial pressure and empower students to focus on building their skills.
The competition is open to Australian residents aged 18 and over who are currently undertaking a trade course at TAFE or a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
General Manager of BizCover, Brad Miller, says getting started in a trade can come with significant upfront costs, particularly when it comes to tools and equipment.
“This is especially true during the current cost of living crisis,” he says.
“Through the Tools of the Trade grant, we want to help support the next generation of skilled workers as they build their careers.”
Winners will be selected by a panel of BizCover judges based on the quality of their submission. One submission is permitted per person for the duration of the competition.
