Remote insight for UK heat pumps
Heat pumps are rolling out at scale in the UK, and a new technology platform aims to ensure manufacturers and installers can keep an eye on their handiwork.

Passiv UK is simplifying life for heat pump installers in the UK with a free, web-based dashboard that enables them to monitor any of their installations that include a Passiv Smart Thermostat.
The platform is technology-agnostic, meaning technicians can see historical and live data from heat pumps from 16 different manufacturers in one place. This enables them to track and optimise installations, monitoring flow temperatures, energy use, customer settings and operating schedules.
The portal has also been designed to support clients who are installing heat pumps across portfolios, as well as manufacturers and energy suppliers who can utilise the technology to monitor performance or support additional services such as demand response. It may also enable installers to diagnose issues quickly and reduce visits to site for maintenance.
“Heat pumps are a critical part of the UK’s transition to low-carbon heating, but installers and housing providers often lack visibility once systems are installed,” says Passiv UK sales and strategy director, Ian Rose.
“Our new monitoring portal gives installers a simple way to see how their systems are performing, identify issues early and support customers remotely. By bringing all installations into a single dashboard, it reduces the need for site visits and makes ongoing support much easier.”
