Innovation in adiabatic cooling
EVAPCO designs out mechanical pumps in new adiabatic system, reducing long-term operational costs and lowering water consumption.

The new PuRe-JET technology from EVAPCO is a pumpless recirculation adiabatic system that aims to achieve efficient thermal performance while simplifying cooling system operation and reducing ongoing maintenance.
Mechanical pumps have been designed out. The technology utilised a demand-based control strategy that responds to changes in conditions. Under standard operating conditions, energy-efficient fans ramp up as load and ambient temperatures increase.
If additional cooling capacity is required due to higher temperatures or increased loads, the system activates staged adiabatic assist to maintain precise temperature setpoints. To ensure water efficiency, the system recirculates unused water and manages bleed-off to control cycles of concentration.
How it works
During Stage 1 operation, make-up water is introduced into the system and directed through EVAPCO’s proprietary pumpless ejector device. Using venturi action, the ejector draws recirculated water from the tank and accelerates it through the system, achieving full adiabatic performance without a pump. This saturates the adiabatic media, lowering the entering air temperature and increasing heat rejection across the coil.
As thermal demand continues to rise, Stage 2 is automatically initiated, following the same sequence of operation to ensure consistent performance under peak conditions.
