Laura TimberlakeFPA Australia appoints new CEO
Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA Australia) has appointed Simon Rickard as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Rickard has more than 35 years of experience in the fire protection industry, and was previously the National Technical Manager at FPA Australia. While in that position, he supported the Australian fire protection industry and its stakeholders by assisting in developing the organisation’s strategic policy.
In a media statement, FPA Australia says Rickard has played a central role in guiding the organisation through an important period of transition over recent times.
His deep industry knowledge and commitment to members has been evident throughout, and the organisation hopes his strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the fire protection industry will help strengthen its role as the peak body for fire protection.
Rickard said in a LinkedIn post it has been a whirlwind since his appointment.
“I am humbled, and ready to uplift, unite and support our members,” he said.
