Clivet introduces series of VRF heat pump outdoor units

The series uses R32 refrigerant and is designed for commercial applications, office buildings, schools, hotels and apartment blocks.

According to Clivet, the units come in five sizes including 25.2, 28, 33.5, 40 and 45kW in a single module, with the option to reach 90kW by combining two units to meet higher thermal demands.

The company says installation operations have been simplified by using a free topology communication bus called EasyCom Bus, which simplifies the network structure. There are dedicated safety features including the Shut-off Valve Boxes and leak sensors (compliant with the IEC 60335-2-40 standard), which stop the refrigerant flow in the event of anomalies.

An EVI inverter scroll compressor and enlarged surface heat exchanger allows for optimised energy use and achieves high efficiency levels (SCOP up to 4.9 and SEER up to 8.6).

The VRF CVT9 is based on the V9 platform, which is fully compatible with the V8 series regarding indoor units (IDUs) and control systems. It has a wide operating range – from -15°C to 55°C in cooling and from -30°C to 30°C in heating.

It also has adjustable external fan static pressure up to 120Pa (in 20Pa increments) and multiple silent modes, including Night Silent Mode.

Clivet has big plans for the system in 2027, including for the units to be able to connect directly to photovoltaic plants without installing a dedicated inverter.

Clivet was founded in 1989 by Bruno Bellò in Italy, and started out by producing chillers and heat pumps with scroll compressors and high-efficiency heat exchangers. Today the company designs, manufactures and distributes systems for air conditioning, heating, air renewal and air purification throughout the world.
