City Facilities Management secures decade-long Coles deal
After 17 years of partnering with Coles Group to provide comprehensive facilities management solutions across the national supply chain and retail network, a new 10-year agreement has been signed.

City Facilities Management (City) delivers integrated end-to-end facilities management, engineering services, and technical procurement to the retailer’s assets around Australia including Coles Supermarkets, Distribution Centres, and Liquorland stores.
“Coles’ supplier partners play a crucial role in our promise to help Australians eat and live better every day,” says Stephen Vella, Head of Engineering, Maintenance and Facilities at Coles.
“City’s high quality, reliable support for our stores and supply chain sites helps make sure we can offer our customers a shopping experience they can depend on.
“Building on our 17-year partnership, Coles and City will continue our shared dedication to best-in-class facilities management, including new investments in technology and store support.”
First appointed by Coles in September 2009, the City team have been providing building-related maintenance activities include refrigeration and air conditioning, electrical works, building works, plumbing, and energy optimisation.
“We’re incredibly proud to extend this long-standing partnership with Coles, a relationship built on mutual trust and a relentless focus on operational excellence,” says Bill Aggelis, Director, FM Operations & Engineering at City.
“Over the past 17 years, our collaboration has evolved alongside the changing needs of Australia’s retail sector, supporting Coles through times of expansion and transformation.
“This new agreement marks the next step in our commitment to provide integrated facilities management and engineering services, ensuring efficient retail environments for both Coles’ customers and store and distribution centre teams and further strengthening our position as a world leader in the retail FM sector.”
