Energy efficiency calculators ready for testing

The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) has released four energy efficiency calculators for beta testing.

The calculators have been developed to help users with understanding and applying the National Construction Code (NCC) Volume One Deemed-to-Satisfy Provisions for the energy efficiency of façades, lighting, fans and pumps.

The calculators include:

• Façade, Volume One
• Lighting, Volume One
• Fan Systems, Volume One
• Pump Systems, Volume One.

Each calculator has been developed and designed to be used with Microsoft Excel 2010 (or newer) for Microsoft Windows. Compatibility with other versions and operating systems is not guaranteed.

The ABCB invites users to test the calculators and provide feedback on the beta versions until Sunday, November 3.

The NCC Volume Two residential energy efficiency calculators will be refreshed and released with the new NCC 2019 branding.
