The Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) is inviting nominations from industry leaders for the 2020 AIRAH Awards.
AIRAH is celebrating its centenary in 2020, and this year the Awards gala dinner will be celebrated in conjunction with the Future of HVAC Conference during Outlook 2020.
Each year the Awards recognise excellence and achievement in Australia’s HVAC&R industry. Nominations are open across 13 categories for the leading people, projects and products throughout 2018/19.
The categories include: Future Leader, Student of the Year – Higher Education or Research, Student of the Year – Trade, Excellence in Innovation, Product of the Year, Best HVAC Retrofit or Upgrade, Excellence in Sustainability, Excellence in Refrigeration, Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion, Excellence in HVAC&R Research and the WR Ahern Award.
AIRAH CEO Tony Gleeson, M.AIRAH, says the Awards are a great opportunity to pause and reflect on the individuals and organisations that you admire.
“These groups really do more than they’re expected,” he says.
“They seem to set the bar higher for everyone else, so nominating these people give everyone else a role model to aim for and celebrate.
“Nominating can help lift up the entire organisation.”
The AIRAH Awards gala dinner is slated to be held in Sydney on Tuesday, November 10.
AIRAH’s Education and Technical Services Manager, Brendan Pejkovic, says they are expecting a record number of nominations and attendees this year.
