The second Impact X Summit Sydney will present an expanded three-day agenda of dialogue, workshops, and events, designed to accelerate action for a net zero, climate-positive future.
The conference is scheduled to take place from November 9–11 at the International Convention Centre, Sydney. It has been timed to coincide with the UN COP 27, allowing opportunities to connect with leaders attending there.
According to the World Economic Forum, nearly half of the world’s GDP ($44 trillion) is moderately or highly dependent on nature.
Impact X Summit Sydney organisers say climate change and biodiversity loss are deeply interconnected challenges, and achieving net zero will only be possible with an integrated “net zero, nature positive” approach.
“To address this, the second Impact X Summit Sydney will present an expanded three-day agenda of dialogue, workshops, and events, designed to accelerate action for a net zero, climate-positive future,” the conference organisers say. “The agenda is developed with input from national expert advisory groups, and five industry streams will produce an outcome statement of ideas, recommendations, and commitments.”
The event will incorporate live in-person and virtual hybrid sessions including more than 150 speakers from businesses, governments, investors, and innovation agencies, more than 1,500 participants in person and virtual, more than 200 climate tech startup founders, and more than 50 solution exhibitors.
Plenary and parallel sessions, roundtable discussions and workshops will also be held, including a dedicated working group for the built environment.
On top of that, the Impact X Summit will feature indigenous economists, entrepreneurs, innovators, and solutions; the finals of regional impact tech startup challenge; a climate, impact and clean tech startup pitch theatre; and evening networking and social events.
