The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) is holding a live webinar on Thursday, August 27, to present a range of Green Star case studies and explore the challenges associated with indoor air quality.

Designed for industry practitioners, the session will look at some of the most challenging technical indicators and common mistakes. It will explain what the Green Star credits intend to achieve. And it will provide an opportunity to discuss how to achieve and improve air quality results in buildings.

The insights session will include a “deep dive” into the issues such as:

  • Which stakeholders need to be involved and how do we ensure compliance?
  • Where is the research going?
  • Designing net zero and all-electric buildings, how does it affect indoor air quality?
  • What does COVID-19 question for IEQ? How much is health and safety impacted by indoor air quality?

Speakers include Brenda Kingston, Director – Sustainability at WSP; Marco De Santis, Head of Technical & Deputy General Manager, Mapei Australia; Leigh Gibbs, Sustainability Manager, Norman Disney & Young; and Associate Professor Christhina Candido, Director | SHE (Sustainable and Healthy Environments) Lab, The University of Melbourne.

The session will be chaired by Ian Adams, Affil.AIRAH, ESD Consultant, Organica Engineering, and will be followed by a Q&A session with the speakers.
