Explosive gas atmospheres standard open for review

A draft standard is open for public comment: DR AS/NZS IEC 60079.10.1 Amd 1:2025 Explosive atmospheres, Part 10.1: Classification of areas – Explosive gas atmospheres.

This standard is concerned with the classification of areas where flammable gas or vapour hazards may arise. It can be used as a basis to support the proper design, construction, operation and maintenance of equipment for use in hazardous areas.

The proposed amendments relate to the front cover, the preface, and Annex B – Estimation of sources of release.
