Call to provide input for Industry Skills Survey

Australian Industry Standards (AIS) is holding a survey to identify the skills needs for various industries.

AIS collects data annually from the Industry Outlook Survey to determine industry workforce planning and skill development demands. The data is especially relevant in 2022, with the dual factors of the pandemic and digital transformation impacting the labour market.

The 2021 survey results reported the electrotechnology industry generated an annual revenue of $81.22 billion in 2020–21, and employed more than 344,000 people across the sector. 

Data collected from the survey will assist the development of the 2022 industry outlooks and provide critical information to build a whole-of-industry picture. It will be used to assist in identifying new or emerging skills needs for each sector.

The survey can be completed online, and takes approximately 5–10 minutes. It is open until January 31.
