The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) that has been working on the Electrotechnology Training Package Review project has prepared draft materials and is now looking for industry feedback.

As reported previously, the project is an extension of the UEE11 Electrotechnology Training Package Transition Project. The transition and review of the training package is expected to be completed by June 2019.

The TAC has recommended splitting/joining a number of units of competency to better reflect industry needs after careful deliberation and industry support. The new units of competency will only be used in the relevant refrigeration and air conditioning qualifications.

Feedback on the units of competency must be submitted through the public feedback register. Feedback should be actionable recommendations, i.e., suggesting amendments rather than asking questions about what has been drafted.

The TAC will review the feedback and provide the Electrotechnology Industry Reference Committee (IRC) with any amendments required. Redrafted content will be re-released for a second round of public consultation.

Feedback is due by Tuesday, April 30.
