The Board of the Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC) re-elected Michael Bennett as chairman at the ARC Annual General Meeting on November 25.

Bennett has successfully led the ARC through a challenging year with consistent results, says the ARC.

The Council also welcomed Greg Picker and Scott Williams to the Board after directors Mark Padwick and Sumit Oberoi retired from their positions.

Picker is the Executive Director of Refrigerants Australia, and is an influential advocate for the refrigeration industry; and Williams is the CEO of Air Conditioning and Mechanical Contractors Association and has an in-depth knowledge of the environmental licensing scheme.

The ARC says its Board and membership are truly characteristic of the mainstream refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC) industry, with representation across both the RAC and automotive air conditioning sectors.

All Board members volunteer their time, it says, because they share a passion for the industry and a drive to help it succeed.
