AIRAH Big Data STG launches survey on data challenges

AIRAH’s Big Data and Analytics Special Technical Group has launched a survey to better understand the use of operational data in buildings, and the practical challenges that practitioners are facing in using the data.

STG Chair Roshan Gill, M.AIRAH, says the survey came out of the work the STG has been doing within the Ontology Alignment Project working group. It is aimed at consumers and practitioners in building data and analytics.

“The STG hopes to get a deeper understanding of how we can better focus our efforts via industry feedback or validate current ideas and direction for the STG,” Gill says.

“As an example, when selecting the themes for the Big Data and Analytics Forum, it is useful to have a broad idea of industry thinking in relation to data.”

The survey should take about five minutes to complete.
