Automotive Air-Conditioning, Electrical and Cooling Technicians of Australasia (VASA) has opened nominations for the REDARC Young Technician of the Year Award. The inaugural award will be presented at the 2024 VASA Wire & Gas convention from August 23–25 in Brisbane.
The award, open to VASA members or those working in VASA member businesses, recognises exceptional talent and contributions among under-30s within the automotive industry.
The biennial REDARC Young Technician of the Year Award aims to inspire others to develop their skills, talents, and leadership qualities, creating a ripple effect of improvement throughout the automotive industry.
The winner will receive $5,000 worth of items from the REDARC catalogue. They will also receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2024 VASA Wire and Gas Convention, including travel to and from the event, accommodation and registration.
Nominations for the award will close on June 30, 2024, with the winner to be selected in late July.
