The Green Building Council Australia (GBCA) will be hosting a webinar to share learnings from recent WELL projects.

The WELL Building Standard global rating system for healthy buildings has gained a strong foothold in Australia over the past four years. About 10 per cent of the total occupied office footprint in the country has now been registered or certified under the system.

With WELL v2, the program has expanded to include modules on diversity, inclusion, affordable house and gender equity. It also covers locations beyond traditional offices, now including hospitals, universities, retail and residential.

Through the webinar “Innovation in WELL – learning from recent projects”, WELL Accredited Professional and WELL Faculty member Jessica Bennett will take attendees through some of the most inspirational projects, and examine lessons that can be learnt from recent case studies.

Key topics include:

  • Air quality
  • Tips for successful performance verification
  • V1, V2 and Crosswalks
  • People are key to success – how do we bring the end-user on the journey?
  • Beauty, biophilia and the Mind & Community categories.

From One Malop Street, Geelong, to 25 King Street, Brisbane and SMU Connexion, Singapore, Bennett will share key outcomes of using the WELL tool, and what you can learn for your own projects.

Bennett is the Sustainability Leader, VIC, at Aurecon Australasia Pty Ltd. She specialises in sustainability and has experience in the integration of sustainability and occupant wellbeing in the built environment. Her expertise is in working with the project team to establish the wellbeing and sustainability vision and with delivering building certifications on large-scale projects – notably WELL and Green Star.

The webinar will be held on Thursday September 3, 2020 from 12.30pm–1.30pm (AEST) | 12pm–1pm (ACST)| 10.30am–11.30am (AWST).
