AIRAH and the Innovation Hub for Affordable Heating and Cooling (i-Hub) are hosting a free online knowledge-sharing summit in June and July.

The series of three webinars will bring together leading universities, researchers, consultants, building owners and equipment manufacturers in a connected research and development community. They will discuss the i-Hub projects, their progress, and key findings to date.

Integrated Design Studio webinar

This webinar will provide an update on the Integrated Design Studios, which aim to facilitate collaboration between building owners and the design industry at the early stages of the process to deliver major cost and energy savings. The webinar will also look to the future, and include a Q&A discussion.

The project lead partner is the University of Melbourne. Project partners are AIRAH, Aurecon, Greenbox Architecture, Arup, Grimshaw Architects; and the key project participants are Queensland University of Technology (QUT), University of Wollongong, NEXTDC, and the ACT government.

The webinar will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 12 midday AEST / 11.30am ACST / 10am AWST.

Data Clearing House webinar

The Smart Building Data Clearing House initiative will deliver an open data platform for sharing data relating to the operation of HVAC&R and renewable energy equipment. This webinar will provide an update on the Demand Response Atlas, its value proposition, data sovereignty, and possibilities for the future.

The project lead partners are CSIRO, Switch Automation Pty Ltd, the Department of Education, and School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW). Project partners are AIRAH and Buildings Evolved.

The webinar will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 12 midday AEST / 11.30am ACST / 10am AWST.

Living Laboratories webinar

This webinar will focus on i-Hub’s Living Laboratories – real-life buildings and spaces where innovative products and services can be tested. These places act as a “Green Proving Ground”, where suppliers can validate the performance applicability of their technologies. This includes projects in the healthcare and education spaces. The webinar will feature representatives from the University of Wollongong and Queensland University of Technology (QUT), and include a panel session and Q&A opportunity.

The project lead partners are QUT and the University of Wollongong; the project partner is the Sustainable Buildings Research Centre (SBRC); and the key project participants are Warrigal, Bolton Clarke, Children’s Health Queensland, Synengco, Steinel Australia, and Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development, ACT Government.

The webinar will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 12 midday AEST / 11.30am ACST / 10am AWST.
