The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) is holding a course on Tuesday, May 28 for those who work on Green Star Buildings v1 projects.
Aimed at contractors, sub-contractors and employees within the wider project team, the course will cover managing risk from the tendering stage through to reviewing data sheets and managing the documentation process for compliance.
The session will run over two hours online, covering:
- The contractor-centric credits and materials credits, such as responsible structure, envelope, systems and finishes, as well as exposure to toxins credits and how to demonstrate compliance
- Which tools offer the most effective approach to gaining Green Star accreditation
- How construction materials must be vetted for compliance against volatile organic compounds and formaldehyde content, as well as the responsible products framework
- Green Star requirements from start to finish
- Hints and tips from past projects and the ways to ensure the best assessment outcomes.
