Green Building Council Australia (GBCA) is holding its latest Green Building Day at venues in five capital cities and online, starting Tuesday, May 23 in Perth and ending Thursday, June 22 in Sydney.
Green Building Day 2023 will offer a deep dive into key local and national strategy areas, with an agenda that showcases plans and progress towards achieving climate goals and building a greener, more equitable future.
Participants will learn about the latest updates in Green Star, discover how they are working in practice, listen to case studies from around the country, and hear from industry experts who will share their experience and learnings on key challenges in the built environment.
Covering topics such as embodied carbon, electrification, nature and biodiversity and more, the event is a chance for participants to connect, engage, and further knowledge on all things Green Star.
According to GBCA, key takeaways will be practical knowledge and insights; learning about leading Green Star case studies from project leaders; how Green Star rating tools are being reshaped; new and inspiring examples of innovation in practice; and how to tackle electrification and sustainable procurement.
Agenda topics include:
- A net-zero health-check – challenges, realities and where are we now?
- New developments for reducing upfront carbon
- Unpacking the role of products and design in circularity
- Buildings as batteries and managing energy loads.
Green Building Day will be held in Perth on Tuesday, May 23; Brisbane on Wednesday, May 31; Adelaide on Tuesday, June 6; Melbourne on Thursday, June 15; Sydney on Thursday, June 22; and Virtually on Thursday, June 22.
