Cool intelligence for flammable refrigerants – celebrating WRD

A collaboration between AIRAH, Refrigerant Reclaim Australia (RRA), Refrigerants Australia (RA), the Refrigeration Air Conditioning Training Alliance (RACTA) and the ARBS Foundation, the webinar will share information about the updated Flammable Refrigerants Safety Guide, and also celebrate the theme of this year’s World Refrigeration Day – Cool Intelligence.

“Australia’s HVAC&R sector is undergoing a huge transition,” says AIRAH Advocacy and Policy Manager Mark Vender. “We’re moving to refrigerants with lower environmental impact, but often with other risks, such as flammability, that technicians and equipment operators and owners need to be aware of and manage.

“This webinar will point people to free industry resources on this topic.”

The Flammable Refrigerants Safety Guide is a free resource to provide practical guidance on the safe handling, installation, servicing and management of flammable refrigerants. It builds on the original version published in 2013 and the update in 2018. An online resource and a series of fact sheets have also been developed to complement the guide.

The webinar will also celebrate Cool Intelligence in all its forms. It will be held at 12.30pm (AEST) on Friday, June 26. To register, click here.
