AIRAH is slated to host a webinar on the NCC public comment draft on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 12:30-1:45pm AEST.
In the webinar, Australian Building Codes Board Assistant Manager – Policy and Analysis, Erica Kenna, will walk through proposed changes to the next edition of the National Construction Code, NCC 2025. She will be accompanied by It’s Engineered’s Brett Fairweather and Ken Thomson from Fusion Modular for an insightful panel discussion.
By attending the webinar, AIRAH says attendees will gain clarity on the proposed changes and their overall objectives, and find out how to make an impact through the public comment draft.
“They’ll be reviewing the proposed changes and hearing about these directly from the ABCB, which is a valuable opportunity,” says Fairweather of those who choose to attend. “This year’s draft includes a number of useful clarifications, following proposals for change that were supported by AIRAH.
“I’d hope the audience will also gain a better understanding of the purpose of the public consultation process and how they can actively contribute to improvements and clarifications in the NCC.”
