New hands on the helm at Cundall
Global multi-disciplinary engineering and sustainability consultancy, Cundall, has appointed UK-based building services engineer, Kevin Hayes, to the position of Managing Partner.

Hayes has been with the company for nearly three decades, including 15 years as a Partner. He created and for many years led the company’s Global Corporate Real Estate Sector, which works on projects including new builds, fitouts and retrofits for major firms around the world.
For the past decade, he led the London office and has played a key role in shaping Cundall’s direction through his position on the Management Board.
Hayes succeeds Carole O’Neil, who held the role from July 2022 to end of June 2026. During her tenure, the company opened new offices in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Germany, India, the Philippines and Malaysia, bringing it to 27 locations in total, including five Australian offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
Hayes says that O’Neil had a very important term as Managing Partner.
“Most importantly she introduced and has driven a strategy for Cundall that has helped the practice prepare for the next phase of our development,” he says.
“Over the next four years, I will be building on the existing strategy with particular focus on our markets, our clients, and our technical excellence. I will ensure that we continue to advance our thinking and extend our global footprint, both in terms of client and locations, but also provide amazing opportunities for our employees.”
