Ford & Doonan celebrates 40 years
Western Australian HVAC&R company Ford & Doonan is marking its 40th anniversary in 2025.

The business was founded in 1985 by Andrew Ford and Kyle Doonan, AM.AIRAH, two local fridgies who met while undertaking their apprenticeship working on the refrigeration systems at a hospital in Perth. Both remain active in the company today.

Ford & Doonan now operates out of 12 locations across WA and employs around 170 people. In 2021, the business expanded to include solar panel installation as part of its offering.
“Being WA’s second largest employer of apprentices demonstrates the commitment to training the industry’s future trades people,” the company says in a statement.

“Additionally, investments in technology are anchoring the company’s operations as a leading light within the WA residential and light commercial air conditioning space.”
