Daikin floor-standing units

Daikin Australia has launched its new range of R32 floor-standing split systems, which comes in six models with capacities ranging from 2.5kW to 6.7kW. The indoor units have a compact design with dimensions of 600(H) x 750(W) x 238(D) mm, making them ideal for placement under a windowsill or semi-recessed into an unused fireplace.

Heating capabilities

Catering to the colder regions of Australia, the new floor-standing models have up to 19 per cent improved heating capacity at 2°C ambient temperatures compared to their R410A predecessors. The units have an accelerated heating function, as well as a setting that mimics a traditional radiator. There’s also a floor warming function that distributes hot air from the base of the indoor unit.

An IAQ focus

Daikin says that new floor-standing units incorporate the company’s latest indoor air quality features. According to the company, the units include a feature that discharges high-speed electrons to generate powerful oxidative decomposition. This, Daikin says, eliminates more than 99.6 per cent of pollen in two hours, 99.9 per cent of mould in 24 hours, and 99.61 per cent of allergens in 24 hours.

The new models feature built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing users to control their units using the Daikin Mobile Controller app.

    Greetings,
Will Daikin release these floor standing units in North America? And, if so, will the r-32 floor standing units be compatible with the R-32 multiport outdoor units, for example, 3MXM24AVJU9?
