Hot water heat pump working groups seek members

In July 2024, the Roadmap for Heat Pump Hot Water Systems (HPHWS) in Australia was released, outlining key actions to grow and strengthen the industry. To advance these goals, the Energy Efficiency Council, with support from the NSW and Victorian governments, established an Industry Consultative Group (ICG).

The ICG supports collaboration between industry, governments, and regulators, focusing on sharing knowledge, reducing duplicative efforts, and addressing strategic issues. It is supported by three working groups – Product, Installation, and Consumer – which bring together ICG members, technical experts from businesses, and other stakeholders to share insights, discuss industry issues, and hear from relevant experts.

The working groups are open to new members. Stakeholders from industry associations, unions, professional associations, training bodies, and individual businesses are encouraged to get involved.
