Clock ticking on AS 1668 review

Time is running out to submit comments on the draft version of one of the most important standards for HVAC practitioners in Australia: AS 1668 The use of ventilation and airconditioning in buildings.

Two parts of the standard are being revised: AS 1668.2 Mechanical ventilation in buildings and AS 1668.4 Natural ventilation in buildings. A rundown of some of the key changes can be found here. Many comments have also been posted on the drafts.

It is worth noting that after the initial public comment draft of AS 1668.2 was published late last year, an updated version was published that corrected some issues with clause cross-references and formatting.

The deadline for comments on the public comment draft of AS 1668.2 has also been extended to February 6, 2024. The deadline for comments on AS 1668.4 remains January 23, 2024.
