Environmental performance grants

Round one of City of Sydney’s environmental performance grants is open from February 6 until March 11.

The program offers a powerful incentive to act and make change by offering support focused on encouraging innovation and environmental leadership, and addressing some of the barriers that communities face when considering action.

Through the grants and sponsorship program, the City aims to enable residents and businesses to improve their environmental performance.

The grants are designed to help applicants:

  • Understand how and where energy and water is used in buildings
  • Identify ways to improve efficiency and reduce ongoing operational costs
  • Get costed options to prioritise building tune-ups and upgrades
  • Compare building performance with others and identify opportunities for improvements with a NABERS, Earth Check or Green Star performance rating and action plan.

Funding of up to $15,000 is available for commercial buildings and residential apartments in the City of Sydney local government area. Applicants commit to investing a minimum amount of their own funds to implement cost-effective opportunities identified.
