Beijer Ref continues expansion in Australia

Beijer Ref has announced the acquisition of two Australian businesses: GMR Supplies and Mackay Air Supplies.

GMR Supplies is a refrigeration wholesaler based in Perth, Western Australia. According to Beijer Ref, the company distributes high-quality refrigeration products and provides HVAC&R spare parts to metropolitan and country clients throughout Western Australia.

Mackay Air Supplies is an HVAC&R wholesaler based in Mackay, Queensland, that is focused on air conditioning products.

Both companies will be integrated into Beijer Ref’s Australian branch network. The company says that these acquisitions will have a minor impact on the Beijer Ref Group’s result and position; the two companies have a combined annual turnover of about AUD$7.1 million.

The acquisitions further strengthen Beijer Ref Australia’s operation, and will add two new branches and seven employees to its current organisation. They follow-on from the purchases of Australian distribution company Airstream and Victorian-based climate and ventilation solutions business Armcor Air Solutions in 2021.
