International design, engineering and advisory company Aurecon has announced the appointment of Gabe Carter as its new Chief Executive for Asia.
From March 1, 2025, Carter will join Aurecon’s group executive leadership team and relocate to Singapore, where he will oversee the performance of approximately 2,100 people across nine locations. Current Aurecon Asia Chief Executive Stephane Asselin will transition into the role of Senior Advisor at Aurecon.
Carter joined Aurecon in 2003 after graduating from the University of New South Wales. He has since played a pivotal role in delivering several major projects across the Asia Pacific region. In 2021, he was promoted to Aurecon’s Managing Director for Vietnam and Thailand, leading a team of 700 people.
“This is an outstanding opportunity to lead a talented team in one of the world’s most dynamic regions,” Carter says. “Technology and connectivity will remain central to our vision, alongside our focus on sustainability and climate change. By collaborating closely with our colleagues in Australia and New Zealand, we will continue to deliver value for our clients across Asia Pacific.”
