Aurecon debuts Engineering Reimagined podcast

Global engineering and infrastructure advisory company Aurecon has announced its foray into podcasting with the release of Engineering Reimagined.

In it, Aurecon employees interview experts on topics that are “changing our world”.

The series will focus on people’s envisioning of the future, as well as their roles within it.

“We want our audience, and ourselves, to learn from our guests’ compelling and inspiring stories to help us shape and design a better future and re-imagine engineering,” says Aurecon CEO William Cox.

A new episode will be released monthly.

For the podcast’s debut, outgoing Aurecon CEO Giam Swiegers speaks with Guillaume Brahimi, Australia’s top French chef, about how lessons learned in the kitchen can translate to leadership in business.

In episode two, Aurecon’s Managing Director for Design, Innovation and Eminence Kourosh Kayvani interviews Veena Sahajwalla, a material engineer and inventor, on the recycling revolution and repurposing of waste.

Future guests include:

• John O’Hagan, general manager at Otakaro Ltd, who led rebuilding efforts in Christchurch, New Zealand after the February 2011 Canterbury earthquakes
• Camilla Andersen, law professor at the University of Western Australia
• Tasneem Chopra, the Australian Human Rights Commission’s recently appointed ‘Anti-Racism Champion’
• Mamokgethi Phakeng, Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Town.
