Webinar for World Refrigeration Day

The final countdown to the first ever World Refrigeration Day is on, and ASHRAE and UNEP OzoneAction have added to the festivities by announcing a special webinar.

Titled “Refrigerants for Life: How Refrigerants Affect Modern Life”, the webinar will run from 9–10.30 EDT on Wednesday, June 26.

Industry experts will talk about the latest science, applications, and legal concerns for those dealing with refrigerants. It will capture the overall global state of policies, research, and trends for using refrigerants in a variety of applications, while presenting the role of industry, government, and the individual in ensuring the responsible use of refrigerants.

International Institute of Refrigeration Director General Didier Coulomb will talk about the applications and use of refrigerants in modern life. Gluckman Consulting Director Ray Gluckman will offer a snapshot of the refrigerants market and development. Star Refrigeration’s Group Managing Director Andy Pearson will reveal what is happening in the world of refrigerant research. ASHRAE Refrigeration Committee Chairman Rajan Rajendran will discuss the responsible use of refrigerants. And EPEE Director General Andrea Voigt will offer insights into the role of governments and associations.

Also on hand will be ASHRAE President Shiela Hayter; Acting Head of OzonAction James S Curlin; and World Refrigeration Day Secretariat Stephen Gill.
