WA government announces information sessions for engineer registration

The Western Australian government is hosting information sessions about professional registration for engineers across the state.

The Western Australian government’s Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) is hosting information sessions about professional registration for engineers across the state.

Engineer registration commences from 1 July 2024 for structural and fire safety engineers and from 1 July 2025 for civil and mechanical engineers.

DMIRS will be hosting three regional information sessions:

  • Geraldton on Monday, April 22 – 4.30–6pm at Batavia Coast Conference Centre, The Gerald Apartment Hotel, 25 Cathedral Avenue
  • Bunbury on Monday 13 May – 4.30–6pm at The Leschenault Room, Mantra Lighthouse, 2 Marlston Drive
  • Albany on Monday 10 June – 4.30–6pm at the Hilton Garden Inn, 3 Toll Place.

There will also be two information sessions in Perth:

  • Bentley on Monday 27 May – 3.30–5pm at Technology Park Function Centre, 2 Brodie Hall Drive, Bentley
  • Perth CBD on Monday 24 June – 4.30–6pm at the State Library Theatre, State Library of WA, 25 Francis Street.

The sessions are free but numbers are limited at each venue. Those interested in attending should send their preferred venue and names of attendees to [email protected]
