Sydney councils to hold free heat pump webinar

The City of Sydney, Waverley Council and North Sydney Council will host a free webinar on installing heat pumps in residential apartment buildings on Wednesday, July 24 from 12–1pm.

The webinar looks at two case studies where apartment complexes in Sydney benefited from electrifying their power supply and hot water. It also looks at the successful implementation of heat pumps for managing swimming pool temperatures.

The webinar will cover:

• What heat pumps are and how they work
• Barriers to installing heat pumps and how to overcome these
• Steps involved in switching from gas to electric heat pumps
• The benefits for owners, tenants and building managers.

The webinar caters primarily to building managers, apartment residents, owners corporations and strata managers. It also offers HVAC&R and building services professionals an insight into potential challenges from the client’s perspective.
