Speakers announced for Outlook 2020

AIRAH has announced a stellar line up of speakers for the Outlook 2020 Conference, slated to take place in Sydney from November 8–10.

The conference celebrates AIRAH’s centenary year by bringing together industry experts and practitioners to share the latest HVAC&R developments, trends and technologies.

AIRAH’s Education and Technical Services Manager, Brendan Pejkovic, says Outlook 2020 will be one of the largest conferences AIRAH has ever held.

“The conference combines two of AIRAH’s events – the Future of HVAC Conference and the AIRAH Awards Gala,” he explains.

Deb Noller, the CEO and co-founder of Switch Automation, has been announced as a keynote speaker for the event.

Noller has 20 years’ experience in real estate, technology and sustainability, and is passionate about helping enterprises execute more efficient business operations by leveraging digital facilities management technology.

Andrew Smith from A.G. Coombs Advisory will discuss how digital information is starting to flow from design and construction into the operation and maintenance of facilities.

The Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council (ASBEC) Executive Director, Suzanne Toumbourou, will present research findings on energy efficiency opportunities for commercial buildings from Built to Perform: An Industry Led Pathway to a Zero Carbon Ready Building Code.

Jeff Robinson, Affil.AIRAH, from Aurecon will discuss the lessons learnt in designing and constructing the two largest buildings seeking Passive House ratings: Monash University’s Chancellery, and the Woodside Building for Technology and Design.

Principal Consultant at DeltaQ, Grace Foo, M.AIRAH, will explore the role of plant optimisation, onsite generation, life-cycle upgrades, and energy-procurement activities in achieving carbon-neutral status for a mixed-use building in Melbourne.

Pejkovic says more speakers will be announced in the coming months.

“After a year where so many events have been postponed or cancelled, we’re hoping people will get excited about Outlook 2020,” he says.
