Fredon and uHoo will host a free, one-hour webinar titled A Comprehensive Approach to Making Buildings Smart, Healthy and Sustainable, on Tuesday, February 7.

Guest speakers will explore the uses and importance of smart technologies, and the ways in which the built environment can improve sustainability by maximising opportunities presented by these smart technologies.

According to Fredon, buildings are responsible for 39 per cent of global energy consumption, and 33 per cent of greenhouse gas emissions – making built environments a considerable contributor to climate change.

“We are reaching a new age where buildings are not just places that provide a space for people to sit down and work, they are also expected to have powerful mechanisms, promote productivity and wellness, create immersive occupant experiences, and exceed evolving expectations,” says the company.

“Buildings must be protected against technical obsolescence, the same way they should also be environmentally responsible, safe and resource efficient.”

Speakers will cover topics including leveraging technology to enhance building sustainability and the importance of integration in creating smarter and safer built environments, followed by a Q&A session.

A Comprehensive Approach To Making Buildings Smart, Healthy and Sustainable will be held at 12.30pm (AEDT), Tuesday, February 7. Register here.
