RMIT will host a free panel event called “Learning from Research and Policy: Delivering Affordable Retrofit” on Thursday, May 1 at The Kaleide Theatre in Melbourne.
Retrofitting existing homes is a hot topic in Victoria and across the country. Initiatives like the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) and Social Housing Energy Performance Initiative (SHEPI) for social home energy upgrades – as well as the likely introduction of a mandatory disclosure at point of sale or lease in the coming years – are among the key drivers of momentum in the field of retrofit.
This panel conversation will explore the latest policy debates and research outcomes of retrofit activities for existing homes in Australia and internationally. The discussion will showcase the latest evidence and consider how that might influence retrofit policy.
