The Energy Efficiency Council (EEC) is holding the first Residential Energy Performance Summit in Melbourne on Tuesday, November 21.

The Summit will bring together government, industry and communities to examine the critical national infrastructure issue of upgrading the energy performance of homes across Australia.

“We cannot leave it to individual households to navigate – we need an innovative, considered strategy,” says the EEC.

Notable speakers will include Federal Assistant Minister for Climate Change and Energy Jenny McAllister, and Ireland’s Josephine Maguire, the National Coordinator of the Better Energy Homes program at the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland.

EEC CEO Luke Menzel says the event will be a grounded discussion about how to grasp this moment of momentum around energy efficiency and electrification in homes, including both international and local perspectives.

The EEC has partnered with the federal Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, the Victorian government, and the Clean Energy Finance Corporation to present the day of conversation and debate.

The event will take place at Rydges Melbourne on Tuesday, November 21. To register or for more information, click here.
