Construction group Built is hosting an event on Thursday, July 28 called “Circular Economy: Lessons for Australia and the built environment”.

Being held both face to face in Sydney and online, the event will be headlined by Dr Jaqueline Cramer, Chair of the Holland Circular Hotspot. She will discuss the Netherlands’ experience in developing circularity at scale, and the learnings that can be applied to Australia’s built environment.

The Netherlands is a global circular economy leader, committing to a 2050 target for a waste-free economy and a 2030 target to halve raw material consumption.

Circular Australia CEO Lisa McLean will also speak at the event about the state of circularity in Australia and unveil what initiatives the industry is using in the area.

Specific topics will include:

  • How to apply circularity at scale
  • How to measure circularity and track progress
  • Examples of government and industry collaborations
  • Examples of case studies across the supply chain
  • The practical tools and approaches used to achieve circularity in the built environment.

The event is free to attend and will take place online and at the Built Head Office in Sydney from 8.30am–12 noon (AEST). Registrations are open here.
