The Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) is calling on individuals involved in innovation or initiatives that will help achieve carbon reductions in the refrigeration, air conditioning or heat pump field to share their findings at the Institute’s next annual conference.
Titled “The journey towards net-zero heating and cooling – beyond refrigeration 2021,” the IOR Conference will take place online on April 21–22, 2021.
The event will feature presentations demonstrating how the refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump sector is rising to the challenge of net-zero heating and cooling.
As well as gathering experts to help the UK address the challenge, the conference also aims to publish a set of technical case study papers that will show businesses how they can move towards a more sustainable operation, measuring their progress towards net zero.
Delegates will hear from experts in the field of environmental policy development and global heating and cooling initiatives. There will also be workshops on benchmarking, leakage reduction, and low-GWP refrigerant options.
The Institute is currently inviting proposal for papers for the conference. The papers should report on original case studies of application of technology or research-based findings that have a practical implementation and innovative technical developments.
They must contain quality research material, scientific or technical information such as quantifiable carbon savings achieved or environmental gains and not have been published previously. The call for abstracts will end on January 12. Click here for more details.
