IIR international conference

Abstract submissions are open for the first IIR International Conference on Refrigeration: Adapting to Rising Temperatures.

The first of its kind, this in-person conference will be held from August 11–13, 2025 in Manchester, UK.

Conference themes

As global temperatures continue to rise, the challenges facing the refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump sectors are becoming increasingly complex. This conference will explore these critical issues and encourage the exchange of ideas and innovation among experts dedicated to developing sustainable and resilient solutions.

Organisers are seeking contributions that offer case studies, innovations, research, and expert insights on these topics, with a focus on the intersection of refrigeration technology and climate change adaptation. Submissions should align with the following themes:

  • Managing risk
  • Environmental and social governance
  • The future landscape of refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pumps.
